Green Eyed Monster

each time i see a happy pair,
the green eyed monster comes,
he flies to sit upon my shoulder,
and says 'look at those happy ones'

'don't you wish you had someone,
had someone to hold,
someone to have by your side,
to be with while you grow old'

'someone who knows how to fix things,
when you are feeling blue,
even if it means just simply saying
"i love you" '

until the happy couple leave,
the green eyed monster stays.
but even after he's long gone,
he haunts my mind for days.
